Abstract
Cornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS) is a congenital disease, characterized by mental retardation and associated with a series of malformation, including mainly skeletal, craniofacial deformities together with gastrointestinal and cardiac anomalies. Anesthetic management of a patient with CdLS may pose a serious problems difficult tracheal intubation due to craniofacial malformation including micorgnathia and cleft palate or aspiration pneumonia and cardiac malformation. We report our successful experience in anesthetic management of a 23-month-old patient with CdLS who underwent repair of incomplete cleft palate.
